Case Study
AI Adoption at Louwman Group
A year embedding generative AI across one of the Netherlands' largest automotive groups — from workshops to custom-built tools.
The context
In 2023, Louwman Group — a 5,000+ employee automotive conglomerate — wanted to move beyond "we should do something with AI." I joined as an AI consultant through the Bit traineeship with a broad mandate: build an AI community, figure out what's actually useful, and make it stick.
Workshops
I designed and delivered 23 AI workshops across 9 business units, ranging from 3-person team sessions to 50+ person company events. Each workshop followed an "Inspire, Inform, Ideate" structure — showing what's possible, explaining how it works, then having people identify use cases in their own work.

Custom GPTs
Beyond training, I built 6 custom GPTs that were actively piloted with employees. Each tool was designed around a real workflow, then piloted with a small group before wider rollout.
Simulates angry customer conversations to help customer service staff practice de-escalation.
Safety assistant for warehouse and workshop staff to quickly check protocols.
Helps HR identify internal talent by analyzing profiles against open roles.
Compares contract terms and conditions to flag key differences.
Drafts job postings in the company's tone for LinkedIn.
Assists mechanics in logging and checking hazardous materials.
Hackathon & community
I organised a company-wide AI hackathon with 30+ participants, themed around hiring and retaining mechanics. I also built and ran an internal AI innovation community that grew to over 100 members — a space for sharing tools, prompts, and new use cases across divisions.
